Froggy Friday: Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog

So this is one of those posts where I trudge back through my photo library for photos I took in April and didn’t get a chance to post, whack a theme on and attempt to wade through my memory, hoping to dredge up the story surrounding it. Photos found βœ… theme rustled up βœ… but the memory? No deal.

These frogs are seriously tiny – getting up to only 2.5cm in length. This lovely boy is calling his not particularly sexy call (to me it sounds like someone repeatedly squeezing a dog toy. That probably says more about me than the call though)

I’ve put Backyard Zoology on the back burner a bit recently. Some of it is due to my sheer frustration with Facebook only showing my posts to, on average, about 400 of my almost 6000 followers 😩. It’s bloody annoying to put in so much damn hard work for hardly anyone to see it while in the background FB is sending me messages asking me to pay to ensure more people see the post. Eurgh.

So I’ve also been focusing on my health (turns out walking and food prepping takes a lot of planning and energy!) and catching up with real life people in real life settings now that I’m no longer using my personal Facebook page. That last bit has been the most surprising to me – I mean, I don’t really people at the best of times πŸ˜‚ but it’s been good to flex my social muscle. Spoiler alert: I’m still awkward AF.

Honestly, it’s not in me to write a straight information post. I mean, no story?! and I’ve been sitting here wondering what to say. I eventually got sick of changing from my reading glasses to my normal glasses and so got up to get a drink, reading ones still firmly on my face and promptly walked into the fridge. Now I listen to the universe when the universe speaks and this afternoon it’s saying, “Lady, sometimes photos are enough and isn’t it wine time?” Okay universe, I read you loud and clear!

You’ve got me on frogs Amanda. I have to admit to being a serial painter of the little guys. Love your red eyed one, and can’t go past a dart frog. Ha ha now it’s wine time after a few you won’t care if you have an altercation with your fridge.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚

They are a hoot to paint, use nearly every colour in my collection. I’ll pop one on Facebook or message if it’ll go. I’ Ve had a technoblock trying to do it on here. The younger family members think I’m a right dingbat in the tech field. I’m tempted to take them on in a maths contest without a calculator lol πŸ˜‚

Hahahahahah please don’t even challenge me in a maths contest. my high school maths teacher threw a duster at me – apparently there IS such a thing as a stupid question 🀣
